Returns and Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your Colour Me Calm order. Please read this policy carefully before colouring, washing or using your blanket.

30-Day Return Policy

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

To qualify for a change-of-mind return, the product must:

  • Be unused and in the same condition in which it was received

  • Not have been coloured on, drawn on, written on, washed or otherwise used

  • Be returned with all included markers, accessories and free gifts

  • Be in its original packaging

  • Include proof of purchase

Important: Blankets That Have Been Coloured

Once a blanket has been coloured on, drawn on, written on, washed or otherwise used, it cannot be returned or refunded because we cannot resell a used or customised blanket.

Please inspect the blanket carefully before you begin colouring.

This restriction applies to change-of-mind returns and does not remove any rights you may have under South African consumer law if the product is materially defective, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

Personalised Blankets

Personalised or custom-made blankets cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded if the order was produced according to the personalisation details supplied by the customer.

Customers are responsible for checking all names, spelling, wording, colours and other personalisation details before placing their order. Once production has started, personalised orders cannot be changed or cancelled.

We will only assist with a personalised blanket if:

  • It arrives damaged or materially defective

  • We supplied the wrong blanket or design

  • The personalisation does not match the information submitted with the order

  • The product is materially different from what was ordered or advertised

A change of mind, an incorrect size selection, or an error in personalisation details entered by the customer will not qualify for a return, exchange or refund.

How to Request a Return

Before returning an item, please email us at colourmecalmsa@gmail.com with:

  • Your name

  • Your order number

  • The reason for the return

  • Photographs or a short video if the item is damaged, defective or incorrect

Please do not send an item back before your return request has been approved. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

Once your return has been approved, we will provide you with the return address and instructions.

Return Courier Costs

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return delivery.

Customers may return the parcel using an Aramex courier bag, available from participating Checkers or Pick n Pay stores. The standard courier bag currently costs approximately R89.

The parcel must be packaged securely, and the customer must retain the tracking number and proof of shipment until the return has been completed.

Colour Me Calm is not responsible for return parcels that are lost, damaged or incorrectly addressed while being sent back by the customer.

If we sent you an incorrect, damaged or defective item, Colour Me Calm will arrange or cover the reasonable return delivery cost where applicable.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

Contact us promptly at colourmecalmsa@gmail.com if:

  • Your item arrived damaged

  • You received the wrong product

  • Any items are missing

  • The product appears to have a manufacturing defect

Please include your order number and clear photographs or videos showing the issue. Where courier damage is visible, please also photograph the outer packaging.

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, repair or refund in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.

Damage caused by incorrect use, accidental damage, improper washing, failure to follow the care instructions, normal wear and tear or the use of unsuitable markers is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Markers

Unused and unopened marker packs may be returned in accordance with this policy.

Opened or used marker packs cannot be returned for a change of mind. This does not affect your rights if the markers were supplied defective, damaged or incorrect.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

To order a different product or design, please return the eligible item in accordance with this policy. Once the return has been approved, you can place a new order separately.

Sale Items and Gift Cards

Sale or final-sale items cannot be returned for a change of mind.

This does not affect your rights where an item is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from what was advertised.

Gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash, except where required by law.

South African Online Cooling-Off Period

Where applicable, customers who purchase online may cancel an eligible transaction within seven days after receiving the goods without giving a reason.

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. Products must be returned in a condition that allows us to inspect them.

Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory cooling-off period, including clearly personalised products and goods that, by their nature, cannot reasonably be returned.

Refunds

We will notify you once your return has been received and inspected.

If the return is approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method.

Please allow up to 10 business days after approval for the refund to be processed. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the funds in your account.

For change-of-mind returns, the customer’s original shipping charges and return courier costs are not refundable, except where required by law.
